What is Invisalign®?

How does it work?

You wear a series of clear aligners, each for a two-week period. Aligners are worn all the time, except to eat, drink, brush or floss. Each set of aligners is a little different and move your teeth a little closer to a great smile. You visit our office every 8 - 10 weeks to receive a new set of aligners and to have our doctor check on your progress.

How does it compare to the traditional braces?

Eat! Because the aligners are removable, you can enjoy any food that you like whenever you like it.

Smile! Because the aligners are clear, you won't be self-conscious.

Relax! The clear aligners are usually more comfortable than traditional braces because there are no metal brackets or wires. .

Get on with life! Invisalign® requires infrequent office visits, so you have more time for what matters to you.

Keep your gums and teeth healthy! You can brush and floss as usual without worrying about brushing and flossing around braces.

Will it work for me?

Invisalign® works well to correct most problems with spacing, crowding, and crooked teeth. Other problems may require other orthodontic treatments. To find out if Invisalign® is right for you, call our office for a complimentary consultation.

Start by visiting our office for a complimentary consultation. During this visit we will discuss your treatment options with you, discuss fees, insurance and answer any of your questions about this treatment. If you are ready to proceed we will take some orthodontic records that may include some impressions and x-rays. With these records our doctor will determine your treatment plan.

Using these records and doctor's treatment plan, Invisalign® will use 3D computer imaging technology to create a computer animation of your "virtual" treatment called ClinCheck. You will be able to view this ClinCheck so that you could see how the Invisalign® aligners will straighten your teeth over time. Once you approve your ClinCheck, Invisalign® will develop a series of clear custom fitted aligners that will gradually move your teeth and create a beautiful smile.

After receiving your first set of aligners you will visit our office 8-10 weeks to check on your progress, fine-tune your treatment if necessary and to receive additional aligners.

Average treatment lasts between 9 and 15 months but some cases may be finished as quickly as only a few months.
