Gina Dorfman, D.D.S.
|
Gina Dorfman graduated from the University of Southern California in 2000.
Following her graduation, she worked in a pediatric dental clinic for two
years mastering the skills of providing the most advanced dental care to
children of all ages. She had also worked in a private dental office with
emphasis on cosmetic and periodontal care and served on faculty of USC
School of Dentistry. Since founding Dentistry for Kids and Adults in
2002, she has been enjoying tremendous practice growth and fulfillment that
comes from making a difference in the lives of her patients and her
community. She is involved with Santa Clarita's Foundation of Children's
Dental Health, a charitable organization that provides free dental care to
the needy kids, volunteering many hours to this worthy cause. She is a
member of the American Dental Association as well as Academy of General
Dentists - an organization dedicated to advanced dental learning. Aside from practicing dentistry Dr. Gina published numerous
articles on dental health in popular magazines and lectured to other
dentists at national dental meetings. Dr. Gina loves spending every minute
of her free time with her husband and their kids Mila and Lenny. |

Juliette Okopnik, D.D.S.
|
Juliette Okopnik is a graduate of UCLA
where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology. She then
went on to complete her graduate education from the University of
Maryland, Baltimore Dental School. She has also completed a
postgraduate dental hospital based residency through USC. Her focus is to
improve her patients oral health, as well as their general physical and
mental well being. Providing friendly, gentle, quality dental care to her
patients is of utmost importance. She continues her contribution to
dentistry outside of the office by being a part of organized dentistry
through the Alpha Omega dental fraternity and participation in multiple
community service activities. She also served as a president of the
American Association of Women Dentists and is a current member of the
American Dental Association. When not practicing dentistry Dr. Okopnik loves
watching UCLA Bruins sports, playing tennis, and spending quality time
with her family and friends.

Adrienne Fang, D.D.S.
|
Adrienne Fang received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Human
Development in 1998 from the University of California, Davis. She continued
to earn her dental degree in 2003 from Columbia University, College of
Dental Medicine, New York. After graduation, she furthered her dental
education with two years of advanced post-graduate training in general
hospital dentistry at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Centers in San Francisco
and Los Angeles. During that time she had also published several research
papers utilizing her knowledge of microbiology and dentistry and received
several awards for her distinguished services. She is a member of American
Academy of General Dentistry as well as American Dental Association and San
Fernando Valley Dental Society. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and
Spanish. In her spare time, Adrienne Fang enjoys reading and outdoor
activities. |

Jaymie Coria, D.D.S.
|
Jaymie Coria has followed in her mother's
footsteps when she decided to become a dentist. She started by receiving her
Bachelor of Science in Biology from UC Riverside and continued to earn her
dental degree in 2002 from UCLA School of Dentistry. Following graduation
she attended a one year general practice residency at the VA Hospital in
West Los Angeles where she received advanced education in surgical and
prosthodontic training and had the opportunity to work with medically and
mentally compromised patients. Dr. Coria is a member of the American Dental
Association as well as California Dental Association. In her spare time
Jaymie Coria enjoys biking, hiking and cooking for family and friends.

Anna
Registered Dental Hygienist |
Anna has been
with our office since its inception in 2002 after her graduation from USC
School of Dentistry Dental Hygiene Program. Anna is incredibly warm and
friendly and has a natural ability to make every patient feel comfortable.
Anna is known to be tough on plaque but gentle on the patients which is
probably why you hear most of our patients say: “this was the best cleaning
I’ve ever had” as they leave their dental cleaning appointments. Very
hardworking and a true team player Anna has shown herself as a true leader
of our team. She had designed our hygiene department with a strong emphasis
on prevention helping our patients keep their smiles healthy for life. In
her free time Anna enjoys spending time with her big family and her husband
Javier – easily the friendliest person you’ll ever meet! |

Ken
Patient Care Coordiantor |
Ken is our go-to man. A co-founder of our practice, he has made a tremendous
contribution to making our offices into a place where patients can have all
of their needs attended to. His outgoing personality and natural desire to
help everyone are the reasons why many patients are saying: “I come here
because you guys really take care of me every time I come in.” A real team
player, Ken has done just about every job in our office over the years.
There is no job too big or too small for him. Aside from his daily
responsibilities to our patients he takes care of everything else that needs
to get done – taking care of the late night emergency calls, fixing our
computer network during a power outage, or organizing a community charity
event – Ken’s job is to make sure that the show goes on and we are always
ready to serve our patients. In his spare time he enjoys spending his time
with his family and playing with his kids Mila and Lenny. His hobbies include golf,
boxing and car racing. |

Shawna
Patient Care Coordinator |
Shawna has started her career with us as an extern after finishing College.
Over the years she had become a true patient advocate making sure that every
patient receives only the best care. She seems to make the impossible
possible working out even the toughest situations for our patients. She
finds a way to make dentistry affordable for every patient; she figures out
a way to maximize insurance benefits for patients who need a lot of dental
work; she helps fearful patients feel at ease by finding solutions to
minimize their fear or discomfort; she finds answers all patient questions
or concerns. With her electric smile and sparkling eyes, she exudes warmth
and confidence that our patients appreciate so much. She never seems to have
a bad day and she always naturally assumes the responsibility of a team
leader getting everyone in the office on the same page and ready to serve
our patients. In her spare time she enjoys her family, her many friends and
the great outdoors.

Patty
Benefits Coordinator
|
With over 10
years of experience in dentistry and her incredible efficiency, there is
very little that Patty cannot do. Prior to joining our office, she had been
working as a liaison between a union and a dental insurance plan where she
learned to help patients get the most out of their dental benefits. She came
to work in a private practice because she truly enjoys interacting with
patients in person. With her infectious laugh and endless energy she easily
connects with our patients making everyone feel comfortable. She says that
it’s our friendly patients who make her smile every minute of every day.
Patty's job
is work with insurance companies to represent the interests of our patients
and to make sure that every patient is able to get the most of his or her
dental insurance benefits.
In her free time she enjoys watching her
daughter play basketball and listening to her son play various musical
instruments. Her passion is running and spending time with her husband,
children and their two cats. |

Carmen
Scheduling Coordinator

Although as a
little girl Carmen has always dreamt of a career in law enforcement, she
found her true calling in the healthcare industry because of her natural
desire to help people. With her soothing voice and friendly smile Carmen
easily makes every patient who walks into the office to feel welcome. When
she started working with us in the early part of 2006, she had already had
an impressive experience in the medical field. Learning dentistry came easy
to her and she quickly became the person every patient wanted to talk to.
Being kind and nurturing, Carmen is always eager to assist patients with
their scheduling needs making sure that every patient is able to come in at
a time convenient for him or her. She also takes it upon herself to call
every patient after a long appointment, a difficult procedure or anesthesia
to make sure that every patient is feeling good after the procedure and has
all of his or her questions answered. Carmen enjoys spending every minute
with her husband and their two sons. |

Nicole
Dental Hygiene Coordinator |
Nicole’s
favorite part of her job is interaction with patients. She says that meeting
new patients, seeing familiar ones, and stepping into their lives as a part
of their dental team is what makes her look forward to each and every day at
the office. As a professional swimmer and a swimming coach, she takes health
and fitness seriously and she knows that a healthy body starts with a
healthy smile. As a dental hygiene coordinator, she personally follows up on
any patient who is due for a dental cleaning and did not get a chance to
schedule or had to reschedule an appointment. With a dazzling smile and
friendly personality she helps our patients feel at home in our office as
she takes care of all the little details that makes their visit to us
easier. Her hobbies include arts and crafts projects and swimming. She loves
to spend her free time with friends and her wonderful fiancé Scott. Nicole
and Scott are living in Valencia with their two kittens, Jake and Miles. |

Joanne
Patient Care Coordinator |
Joanne started her dental career as a Registered Dental Assistant in
1997. Upon realizing her love for dentistry and her drive to further her
education she successfully completed her bachelor's degree in business
management in 2006. At that time she transitioned from being a chairside
assistant to an office coordinator. Upon joining our practice she
immediately started to finetune our operations to ensure the utmost fair,
accurate and efficient insurance billing practices. With her management
experience and intimate knowledge of dentistry, she had been very successful
in creating a patient friendly environment helping patients anticipate and
plan their dental expenses as well as work out payment plans and financing
to fit their budget and lifestyle. She enjoys interacting with the different
personalities of our patients and makes sure that every patient is
comfortable and well attended to. When Joanne is not working she enjoys
photography, tennis, and spending time with her husband and her family which
includes two English Springer Spaniels and a newborn baby boy.

Sandra
Scheduling Coordinator |
Before joining our dental practice, Sandra enjoyed a rewarding career as a
medical receptionist for almost 17 years. She is passionate about her job
because she truly enjoys working in the environment where she can interact
with patients on a personal level, getting to know them by name and learning
how she can make every patient feel at home. She always asks patients about
how their day is going and how they spent their weekend. In fact, she is
often complimented by our patients who tell her that she was the nicest
person they spoke to all day. Sandra is always cheerful, grateful and
welcoming yet she always finds the time to take care of all the little
details that makes every appointment run smoothly. On her days off Sandra
enjoys spending time with her family. Her hobbies include arts and crafts,
especially crocheting and hand-making personalized greeting cards for family
and friends.

Rose
Registered Dental Assistant
Team Leader |
Rose has been a dental assistant for 29 years before joining our practice.
She spent most of this time in a pediatric dental practice making kids of
all ages feel special and cared for. She was excited to become a part of our
dental team because she was looking for an opportunity to challenge herself
and to learn new high tech techniques and procedures. Rose is easily the
most cheerful and upbeat person you’d meet. She always has a ready smile or
a joke to brighten up someone’s day. Yet, she takes her job very seriously
to give patients the best care possible. As she often says: “dental
assisting is not a job for me, it’s my career and my life.” Since joining
our practice, Rose has been working tirelessly to improve many of our
“behind the scenes” procedures to ensure top quality care and seamless
operations. Rose and her husband have been married for 20 years and have two
wonderful teenage children. Their oldest son is a sophomore at College of
the Canyons and their daughter is a sophomore at Golden Valley High School.

Sandra
Clinical Supervisor

Sandra has been
with our office since its early days. With well over 10 years of experience
in the dental field, she had assisted with just about any dental procedure
imaginable. As a Clinical Supervisor in our office, Sandra makes it her duty
to keep our office clean, organized, well stocked and running smoothly. She
had personally trained many of our clinical staff and implemented many great
ideas that make dentistry safe and efficient. Very hardworking and always in
a good mood, Sandra has never appeared like she had a bad day in the many
years that she’d been with us. Being a true team player, she is always eager
to jump in to help anyone who may need a hand or to comfort anyone who needs
a pat on the back. Besides dentistry, Sandra’s other passion in life are her
two sons, Jerrry and Ryann. |

Claudia
Registered Dental Assistant

Claudia has
started with us as an extern after completing her education at the Bryman
Dental Assisting College. She quickly gained skills and understanding of
what patients need when they come to us. She is passionate about preventive
dentistry and after completing her Advanced Sealant Certification has been
successfully fighting early decay in children. Claudia is very friendly and
has a soft touch that makes little ones so comfortable with her. She is also
very detail oriented and organized and makes every procedure that she
assists with a quick and easy experience. Aside of her patient caring
responsibilities she also makes sure that kids have a wide variety of toys
to choose from as prizes for their excellent behavior and helps keep our
kids rooms clean and enjoyable. Claudia is currently studying to become a
dental hygienist. |

Al
Registered Dental Assistant
|
Al has started
with us shortly after his graduation from Bryman College and quickly became
everyone’s favorite dental assistant. With his good natured personality and
sharp sense of humor he knows how to make every patient smile or even laugh
out loud. Al easily gets along with people and knows how to break the ice
with every patient, even someone who may be nervous going to a dental
office. Despite of his lighthearted attitude, Al is a very skilled and
competent dental assistant. In fact, with well over a thousand teeth
whitening procedures under his belt, Al is almost single-handedly
responsible for our office being voted The Best Place to Whiten Teeth in
Santa Clarita. In his spare time, Al enjoys playing on a soccer team and in
a rock band. Al is currently studying to become a dental hygienist. |

Jessica
Registered Dental Assistant

Jessica has
been working with us since graduating from Dental Assisting College in 2005.
With her contagious smile and loving personality she always wants to make
sure that every patient leaves our office with a positive experience. Bright
and dedicated to her work, Jessica is always looking for new innovative ways
to help her patients. After learning about Invisalign Invisible Braces and
completing Invisalign Certification she had been involved in all of our
Invisalign Smile Makeovers helping patients achieve straight beautiful
smiles without the hassle of metal braces. In her free time Jessica enjoys
playing outdoors with her dogs Spike and Sasha as well as other outdoor
activities like paintball and soccer. Very outgoing and passionate, Jessica
enjoys working in the dental field and hopes to someday attend a dental
school to become a dentist. |

Holly

Before deciding on a career in dentistry Holly spent 4 years working at
Magic Mountain Theme Park. Following her graduation from Career Care
Institute she had worked in several private dental practices before joining
our team. Since entering the dental field she found dentistry to be
fascinating and rewarding. So much so, that she had decided to become a
Dental Hygienist and is close to completing her prerequisites to enter a
Dental Hygiene Program. Holly is very energetic and friendly. She makes
everything look easy. Give her a new task and she'll look like she's been
doing it for years! In her spare time Holly likes to travel and watch
movies. She is also a huge NASCAR fan. |
