Inlay and Onlay Restorations

Inlay

When a tooth has a large cavity due to fractures, large cracked fillings, or extensive decay, an Inlay or Onlay may be necessary. Made of porcelain or fortified composite, Inlays and Onlays are esthetically beautiful and can help enhance your smile white affording excellent protection to the tooth being restored.  Inlays and Onlay protect and strengthen a tooth similar to a crown but require minimal tooth structure reduction like a filling.

Inlays/onlays will last approximately 15-30 years depending on factors such as the original condition of your teeth and your biting/chewing forces.
